Audio issues with Apple TV airplay and bluetooth connection.

I have been having very sketchy audio when I am using apple airplay to broadcast videos to my apple TV using VLC player. However, I am only having the issue when I have my bluetooth headphones connected directly to the apple tv. I am able to airplay to my apple tv without audio issues when I don't have bluetooth headphones connected to my apple tv. VLC Version 2.2.8 Weatherwax (Intel 64bit) is having this issue with all files that play through VLC player when using airplay to the apple tv. I know that it is not my bluetooth headphones that are the problem since I can use them to listen to the video by connecting them to my computer, or by using my bluetooth transmitter when it is plugged into the television's headphone jack. I have also tried another pair of bluetooth headphones and have had the same sound issue. This only seems to be an issue when it comes to using bluetooth headphones that are connected to the apple tv. I am currently running MacOS High Sierra on my computer and have the most up to date VLC Player at this time. I would greatly appreciate it if you could find a fix for this issue as soon as possible.
