Regression: NSV (Nullsoft Streaming Video) Network Streams fail to open in 3.0

NSV Streams will not open in Android. Seems to be just with latest version 2.5.12. I tried downgrading to 2.0.6 and the issue was gone. Happens on Wifi and LTE.

Acts like it wants to open it but displays the following error message for a split second: "Playback Error - VLC encountered an error with this media. Please try refreshing the media library" Also displays the message "The location ____ cannot be played"

Same behavior whether I open a link thru Chrome with VLC or copy/paste into network stream.

I have tried with several NSV streams (from channel99.info, lotdg.blogspot.com and radio herzblut http://85.25.48.18:8710;stream.nsv) All these use different codecs and none will open.

*Opening a local NSV file works just fine. Only getting this error when connecting to a network stream.

Hardware: OnePlus 5 A5000 Android 7.1.1 OxygenOS 4.5.14
