MKV: cannot edit metadata

so I have ripped some of the DVD movies I have from years ago..

CANNOT update general media info, i.e. the meta tags data..

ie. I cannot save changes for things like title, genre, etc

ie. I save changes.. close file and reopen, CHANGES are GONE!! X-(

note all files I have are not set to read-only, so that is not the problem...

• Windows 11 Pro x64 (25H2)(build 26200.7171)

I am now using

• VLC Media Player v3.0.20 (x64)(INSTALLED)

Will update to latest builds and try again I guess.. ;-)

EDIT2: I updated this post to reflect my current system and VLC MP usage as of December 1, 2025. feature has still not been added yet..
