there is also problem with teletext buttons and taskbar buttons:

The LoadIcon function can load only icons with the dimensions that SM_CXICON and SM_CYICON specifies. With previous icons it was easy to notice that TTXT is available...

What are you talking about?

It seems that new windows taskbar icons such as pause are larger and therefore not displayed at all?

Previous teletext activation icon was blue and it was easy to notice. That can confuse user if icons are always displayed in grey even when TTXT is not available.

Task bar icons are fixed by

Regarding the teletext buttons, they are only displayed when teletext is available, so I'd argue this is a non issue
