3.0 regression: mpeg-2 files encoded with TMPeg

Here is some info on my system:

Intel I5-3210M @ 2.5 GHz 6.0 Gb RAM Onboard Intel HD Graphics 4000

Linux operating system, 4.6.2 kernel FFMPeg 3.1.1 GCC 6.1.0

All of these videos play fine on versions 2.2.3, 2.2.4 and 2.2.5(git) when built with either gcc5.3 or gcc6.1. When I play them on version 3.0.0-git, built with either gcc5.3 or gcc6.1, the video starts to play at a smaller window size for about a second then the window enlarges and the screen turns gray with some pixelation. All of the problem videos on that site appear to have been encoded with TMPeg version 2.01.30.116.
