CHROME OS: Cannot download from Chrome Webstore

The error in the image attached occurs every time I click "Add to Chrome" in the VLC Chrome Web Store page. I am currently using Chrome OS Version 50.0.2661.105. Also please note: The computer I am using is not an actual chromebook, it is an old laptop that I converted to Chrome OS using Neverware software at: http://www.neverware.com/
