Prores HQ Footage stuttering (too slow)

Am using Prores HQ footage offloaded from a Blackmagic URSA Camera and cannot play it back in VLC without stuttering.

Footage playbacks fine in Media Player Classic and Quicktime Player.

I am testing on a Windows 10 Machinem though had the issue on Windows 8 as well.
