iOS VLC not decoding A52 Audio (aka AC3)

Hi, I record TV shows using EyeTV. VLC on a Mac is able to play these without difficulty; however, when trying to play the recordings through EyeConnect a UPnP server to either iPad, VLC for iOS gives the error "Codec Not Supported \n VLC could not decode the format "a52" (A52 Audio (aka AC3)). I realize this may be more a missing feature than a bug, but as this codec plays on the Mac, I thought I should report it.
