Subtitle not shown after rewinding

When I rewind the video the subtitle is not shown only when I rewind it further back before the subtitle's trigger time.

For example there is a subtitle that should be shown between 00:05:59,353 --> 00:06:15,060 and the video is currently playing at 00:06:16,030. If I decide to rewind the video 5 seconds, then the subtitle should be shown again from 00:06:11,030 until 00:06:15,060 (that means for 4 seconds).

But it is not shown only when I rewind the video further back before 00:05:59,353.

This is especially annoying when I watch a movie with a subtitle not in my mother tongue (so that I can learn the language) and I need to rewind quite often. In these movies all I can see is that sometimes the subtitles are not shown for dialogs but are shown for others.

I know VLC was intended to work like this, so that subtitles are shown from the trigger time until the end time. But for this particular frequent rewinding use case it is unfortunately pretty useless. All other video players that I used before showed the subtitle until the end time even if I made it jump after a subtitle's trigger time but still before its end time.
