qvlc buttons do not work, if the file to open is specified on the command line

When I open a file as follows:

qvlc ~/Download/shrekaraoke-DivX-AC3.avi

None of the buttons work. The slider button won't pause. In fact the Play/Pause and other buttons remain greyed out.

However, if I open the same file with the file open dialogue, everything works normally.

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
