VLC exits with a non zero exit code when using --started-from-file with an already open instance

This seems like a small issue, but it causes xdg-open to misinterpret it as if it could not be opened by vlc. Which makes it try something else. In my case this results in stuff like Links and w3m trying to open the large video files. Which they are clearly not built to handle.

To reproduce it just open any video file in vlc and try to open another one with the --started-from-file flag. This will cause a non zero return code.
