Status bar, long file path hides filename.
In the status bar, which shows the path to the file can hide the filename because of the directories preceding it. It is probably more useful to see the filename rather than the directories.
eg: \fileserver\the\very\long\path\to\the\file\blat.avi
So when the VLC window is restored rather than maximised - you would probably see \fileserver\the\very\long\pat... when infact, seeing the filename "blat.avi" would be more useful.
There are two possible fixes, clip the filename in the middle when it's long and adjust the clipping depending on the size of the window. This could be a real pain and introduce some very annoying bugs (font size, different os's, etc). An easy and perhaps cleaner solution would be to right align the text, somehow getting it to overflow to the left hand side.
