Dolby Atmos audio is choppy

I have noticed some .m2ts files with TrueHD audio stream, the audio is very choppy, cuts in and out.

Note this is from the ffmpeg bug report fixed a year ago. http://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/3960

I have tried with VLC 2.2.1 and the nightly version 2.2.2. Thanks.
