'set up association' not working

hello New win (8.1) instalation. New VLC (2.2.0) instalation Visual C++ 2008 -x64 9.0.30729.17

I select the set up associations button in the preference. I received a error message.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library Runtime Error! ... vlc.exe This application has request the runtime to terminate in a unusual way. ...

If i click ok vlc terminate.
