--freetype-fontsize doesn't work for closed captions

I've pulled a today's version from 2.2 git and compiled on KUbuntu 14.04.

Version is "VLC media player 2.2.1 Weatherwax (revision 2.2.0-36-g22dea4b)"

--freetype-fontsize works fine with regular subtitles, but doesn't work with closed captions.

Example with regular subtitles:

vlc --freetype-fontsize 16 /mnt/hgfs/F/Hobbit.mkv vlc --freetype-fontsize 36 /mnt/hgfs/F/Hobbit.mkv vlc --freetype-fontsize 72 /mnt/hgfs/F/Hobbit.mkv

Result: font size is correctly set

Example with closed captions (video with closed captions: go to https://cisco.app.box.com/s/z3gzycpv85rkh8jb6c4nv1h349eduiuo and download "D1185_TT_from Staywell.mp4"):

vlc --freetype-fontsize 16 /mnt/hgfs/F/D1185.mp4 vlc --freetype-fontsize 36 /mnt/hgfs/F/D1185.mp4 vlc --freetype-fontsize 72 /mnt/hgfs/F/D1185.mp4

Result: font size is not set

Log file for D1185.mp4 is attached.
