"Set up associations..." in 2.2.0 causes C++ Runtime crash

I'm using the 64-bit Windows version of 2.2.0. When I open the Preferences dialog, and click the "Set up associations..." button, I get this error, titled "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library":

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

I tried resetting my preferences, didn't help.
