http remote browse for drives crashes VLC

this applies on Windows 8 with VLC 2.2. Win7 is fine, as is 2.1.5

Enable the http interface
open this url in your browser: http://localhost:8080/requests/browse.json?uri=file:///c:/..

expected: you get a list of drives

actual: vlc crashes

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
