Transform 90 degrees produces two squished images stacked vertically
VLC 2.1.4, Ubuntu 14.04
- Download the first attached file.
- Go to “Tools” > “Preferences” > “All” > “Video” > “Filters” > “Transformation”.
- Ensure “Transform type” is set to “Rotate by 90 degrees”, and Save.
- “Media” > “Convert” > “Add” the downloaded file > “!Convert/Save”.
- Choose “Edit selected profile” (the spanner-and-screwdriver button).
- In “Video codec” > “Filters”, check “Video transformation filter” and nothing else, and “Save”.
- Choose a destination file and “Start”.
- When the conversion finishes, open the resulting file.
What you should see: The video is rotated.
What you actually see: The video is rotated, but also scaled vertically to a little more than 50%, with a cropped version of the picture repeated below.
