Very short audio files don't play

Very short audio files (<0.1 seconds) don't play on VLC.

Clicking play does not come up with any error, and acts as if it is playing, but does not play.

I have only tested with .wav files and am using VLC 2.1.5 for Windows. Also tested on VLC for Android.

I did find a similar posthere, but it has been marked as fixed... 3 years ago.

Steps to reproduce: Open Audacity / Similar Create a tone for 0.09 seconds Export as .wav format Try playing in VLC
