Text to speech integration.
Hello. I am a visually impared individual who likes watching Anime. Given most of them have subtitles, this proved to be a pretty big issue.
One player I found, KMPlayer, managed to solve this problem by somehow sending the subtitles out to windows' TTS engine, and having it read them.
This was very useful to me, but the problem is KMPlayer has a few other... '\features' such as ad supported games, etc, and even installing it involved waiding through six 'special offers.'
Personally, I'd much rather use VLC for the same task, but was unable to find any settings for it. I DID read a bug report from someone claiming that TTS started automatically on his once, but have no idea if he was just having some weird interraction with something else, if there is an option hidden some place I can't find it, or if it hasn't been implimented.
In the last case, TTS would add a good amount of functionality to your product for the visually impaired, though I am completely unsure of how easy or difficult KMPlayer's trick of getting the system's onboard TTS software to do it would be.
Thanks, and hope this is somewhat helpful.
