Disable history in Android version

There should be an option to disable the history as there may be files that one doesn't want to show up there. Another option would be to not list files in the history if they were opened in another app, such as a file explorer, then sent to VLC for playback. Yet another option would be to exclude from the history any files in a directory with a .nomedia file. There should be a quick way to clear the history as well, an option I haven't been able to locate yet.
