Missing from menu - Add to VLC media player's Playlist
Yes, it has been asked before, but never really satisfactorily answered.
Windows 7-64, VLC media player 2.1.1 Rincewind
The right-click to open a video's menu options should always include "Add to VLC media player's Playlist" whether it is "associated" with VLC player or not. People have "answered" about "Choose default program" or "Open with," or "One instance - Enque files..." on many sites, including this one. Those are not answers to the actual problem.
The problem is that the "Add to VLC media player's Playlist" is missing from the right-click menu options on multiple types of files. It also "disappears" if more than 15 files are selected on those in which it is "present."
Examples: avi - present - association VLC wmv - present - association WMP mpg/mpeg - NOT present - association WMP mp4 - NOT present - association VLC rm - NOT present - association VLC rmvb - NOT present - association VLC flv - NOT present - association VLC
As you can see, the "association" doesn't have "absolute" bearing on this issue.
The command "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" --started-from-file --playlist-enqueue "%0.8.5-test3" is present for virtually all file types under VLC3g2 in the Registry.
So I guess my real question is this: Do you guys have a fix for this yet? I've seen queries on this from 2008.
I selected "guru" difficulty on this because of the lack of any satisfactory previous "answers."
Many thanks for a GREAT product, and for any resolution that may come from this query.
