Invalid pictures can crash conversion filters

Hard to reproduce but it seems still possible for the conversion filters to crash when the video output display plugin invalidates its pictures.

Obviously, this only affects plugins with invalid pictures such as X11, e.g. when changing crop factor. The crash occurs in the filter function; the picture pointer is invalid.

May be related to #8057 (closed).
