VLC 2.1.2 x64: Encrypted DVD support unavailable

Playing a DVD in VLC 2.1.1 64 bit works fine. However, it appears that 2.1.2 win64 no longer has support for encrypted DVDs. Note that this is specific to the 64 bit version, as the 32 bit version of 2.1.2 works ok. Perhaps the Win 64 bit version wasn't compiled or linked correctly for 2.1.2?

I got the following from the debug logging interface window: libdvdnav: Using dvdnav version 4.2.0 libdvdread: Encrypted DVD support unavailable. libdbdread: Can't open H: for reading libdvdnav: vm: failed to open/read the DVD libdvdread: Encrypted DVD support unavailable. libdbdread: Can't open H: for reading

Steps to replicate. OS Win 8.1 x64. Version 2.1.2: http://download.videolan.org/pub/videol ... -win64.exe Version 2.1.1: http://download.videolan.org/pub/videol ... -win64.exe

Select language: English I deselect Web Plugins and File type associations. Run VLC when installed. View, add interface, debug logging. You can view messages at debug level, but I don't see anything relevant since decryption is not happening to play the DVD. Open DVD disc in drive.

In VLC2.1.1 this works fine. The log starts with: libdvdnav: Using dvdnav version 4.2.0 libdvdnav: Unable to open device file H: libdvdnav: DVD disk reports itself with Region mask 0x00fe0000. Regions: 1
