Fullscreen issues on OS X 10.9 Mavericks on external display
I'm facing issues with fullscreen and VLC (latest version) on Mac OS X 10.9 on a secondary display (HDMI).
Note: VLC preferences are set to use Mac OS X's native fullscreen mode.
First of all, sometimes, it's impossible to toggle fullscreen using the CMD+F keys combinations. The item is just greyed-out from the menubar. (This also happen when I don't have the secondary monitor connected).
Then, this happen only when you when you toggle to fullscreen on an external display: very often, there is a grey bar remaining at the top of the screen (see attached screenshots, the main display is on the left, the secondary external display on the right).
The zipped screenshots are organized : Download them here http://www.jordanbecker.fr/uploads/VLC_Bug_Report_OSX_Fullscreen_Issues.zip
Screenshot 1: Native display shows iTunes, not relevant External display has fullscreen VLC, with a remaining grey bar at the top
Screenshot 2: Native display has VLC in fullscreen, no problem External display shows desktop (empty, but irrelevant)
Screenshot 3: Native display shows iTunes, not relevant After a few tries, external display now shows VLC in fullscreen without this annoying grey bar.
Conclusion: Sometimes this bar shows up, sometimes it won't, but it's like 1 chance out of 10 to get it to a proper fullscreen.
