Fullscreen controls disappear

To recreate this bug:

1. Open a video file and view it in fullscreen mode. When the video is done, VLC will exit fullscreen mode automatically.
2. Open a new video file from the finder. VLC will return to fullscreen mode and begin playing the new file, but the controls that usually appear when the user moves the mouse will not appear.

I am using VLC 0.8.6a on Mac OS 10.4.8 (intel).
