I have this same issue on Xbox One app. When play MKV with internal SRT sub I have the subtitle centered almost in the center of the screen (both horizontal and vertical). If the SRT is put as external file the problem persist as equal. Don't have any other type of subs to test, so I can complain about other formats... but I think that this is a problem with XY position instead the file format. Would be really nice if you can add a reposition option (like the WDTV Live and many other players). Keep the good work and thanks for this great app!
Steve Lhomme and Jean-Baptiste Kempf, tnaks for the update. But I think this patch solved the problem only on PC based app, no?! Since I have this issue on Xbox One app, I wonder if this patch can solve the problem to Xbox One users too...
Xbox1 and PC share the same video output code, so it's solved for any UWP applications, but also for the regular VLC application, if configured to use d3d11
Sorry about my lack of comprehension, but how can the PC patch directly reflect on Xbox app version?! An updated version of the VLC app must be send to Microsoft to approve before release, am I right?! Untill then, I'll not see any improvement or fix on the app on my Xbox (please clarify). Anyway, I'm very glad to see that a fix is on the way for the subtitle position... just need to wait a little longer for a new release on console!
