Xbox One: username/password for SMB needs "Remember credentials" option

When I have a media library shared over Samba and try to access it from the VLC player in Xbox one, it correctly prompts for a username and password. But the credentials are not retained across Xbox restarts. It results in poor usability in my use case. It would be nice to have an option to "Remember credentials" across reboot.
