A question about streaming the video
Hello! I am contemplating about purchasing the Unity plugin, but I need to know one thing.
The most important use case for me is to be able to stream video from a Unity application. The general idea is that the user should be able to interact with the application remotely, from a browser. So he should be able to get the video from the app to his page.
Currently I have it implemented with the video layer being done using MJPEG (and the user control using websockets), but I am looking to improve the quality and performance of the video stream. So ideally, if VLC for Unity would work this way, I would only need to change the application screen capture and network hosting routines to use the plugin, and add some video player to the user page to play the encoded video.
Is this possible with VLC Unity? If yes, then what would be the recommended way of sharing the video feed? Is it going to be writing it to the network stream, or sending frames over UDP, or some server already available within the plugin, or something else?
