Files with surround sound are only playing rear channels?

What is the current bug behavior?

When playing a file with dts audio, the audio doesn't seem to be mixing down to stereo. It's like it's only playing the rear channels or something like that

What is the expected correct behavior?

I'd like to hear the 7.1 or 5.1 mixed down to stereo

Does it work on other plaforms? Does it work with the official VLC apps?

This issue is not present in VLC for Android
