Remember playback position for files over network

Device: iPhone 6s, iOS 13.3.1
VLC: VLC for iOS v3.2.8

Hi all, first-time reporter here. I've gone into my VLC on my device and set "continue audio playback: always," but when I connect to my computer over the network to listen to an audiobook, I don't get the option to go back to my last playback position. My feature request is cover network files in the "playback from last position" cache.
