Seeking on iOS in landscape mode
Is there any way to prevent the activation of the video seeking bar on the top of the screen while playing a video on VLC in landscape mode on an iOS device from activating instead the pull-down menu native to iOS? When this happens sometimes it also triggers the seek rate change options and the box which displays the seek rate - “half-speed scrubbing”, “quarter speed scrubbing” etc. stays stuck on the screen even after letting go of the seeking slider pin. The only way to make the stuck message go away is to restart the video but sometimes re-engaging the slider pin to force another change in the scrub rate fixes this. The most annoying issue is the interaction and unintended activation of the iOS pull-down menu while trying to seek a point in a video being played.
Anyone else have this issue? I searched and couldn’t find anything related but I can’t be the only one facing the issue - I noticed this while using an iPhone 11 Pro Max I had borrowed from an acquaintance.
