[Feature Request] Support binding "previous/next" bluetooth button commands to skip back/forward by a few seconds
In Apple Podcasts, when using "External Controls", like Bluetooth headphones with the typical + / - / power button trio, it's possible to configure them to:
- Bind a "skip action" (typically, holding + / - for 2 seconds) to either:
- A. Previous / Next track
- B. Skip backward / Skip forwards (inside the current track)
- And, if bound to option "Skip backward / Skip forwards" (option B. above), then the amount of back/forward skipping inside the track is configurable with a number of seconds between 10 and 60s
For example, here's how I configure mine:
Motivating use case: I use this feature a lot in Podcasts. I listen to podcasts while running in town, and sometimes a truck will pass by, or construction happens, and I will miss a 20s of podcast due to ambient noise. Thanks to that feature, a quick press of a button on my headphones lets me skip back 30s, without the need to reach for my phone.
Unless I missed it, no such configuration is possible in VLC. Would it make sense to add this?
Thanks for VLC
