Shuffle should only randomize forwards

Expected Behavior:

When shuffling a playlist or the media library, one should be able to skip forward to randomize the next file/song, and skip backwards to go to the previous one.

Current behavior:

Shuffle enabled randomizes forwards and backwards, making it impossible to return to a song after it is skipped.

Other Notes

Strangely, the current behavior seems to be a reversion that happened without updating the app through the app store (so maybe it already works like this and I am doing something wrong, or a setting changed without me noticing?). The above was actually the behavior from the end of April until about a week ago, when I noticed it stopped.

(Maybe this is a feature and I cannot find the setting?)
