iPad iOS Wrong Screen Ratio for TV Out

Hi updated weeks ago and now when I connect an hdmi cable to project on my tv the video is projected in a smaller and wrong ratio for the screen. See images. The VLC has a gap of empty space when projected to a tv. While the the infuse player fills out the entire screen with no empty space. VLC was like infuse before the update can you fix. Thanks.

Ps i know the player has its own built in “adjust ratio” function but that doesn’t resolve all of the empty space between video and edges of tv.
