tvOS Reduced Volume on Version 3.3.8

The release notes for 3.3.8 and vlc#27362 (closed) refer to setting the pre-amp to 0 as the default. However, this change may have affected the volume output in tvOS, resulting in a very reduced volume output, and I have had to increase the volume on the TV significantly to make it audible during playback in VLC, but also have lower the volume again, once I exit out of application, as not to affect the volume in other apps on the AppleTV

Issue vlc#27362 (closed) offers that this can be overridden with the Equalizer UI to re-set the preamp level. In tvOS, this does not appear to be an option, for lack of an equalizer, or I have not been able to discover or find documentation of one in the tvOS app.
