Cast Button does not display on re-opening VLC on the Network TAB in IOS

Have determined and documented in videos and VLC logs accessible at This link which is a OneDrive share to a folder containing all information relating to the bug, videos of repeatable steps, screenshot of VLC About screen (Version) and VLC logs.
The Cast button in VLC is shown and works the first time the app is installed, but once the app is closed rather than left in the background, the cast button is no longer shown or accessible.
So the videos show the app being used for the first time after installation and each video accessed has the cast button shown and accessible, and then they show the app being closed and re-opened and the same videos being shown and this time the cast button is not there. The videos then go on to show the app being deleted and re-installed and the same as before, the first usage of the app shows the cast button, but close and re-open it and the cast button is no longer there.
I spent hours trying all sorts of things trying to work out why I was having so much trouble with a missing cast button. I finally worked out by repeated tests on both devices (because I have documented the same problem on both my iPhone 7 Plus and my iPad 9.7 6th Gen) that the issue arose after I had closed the app or whatever the apple term is for swiping the app up and removing it from memory.
It looks like there is some state information left behind that corrupts the access to the Chromecast when the app is next loaded.
The problem exists whether it’s a local video on the iPad / iPhone or a video from my QNAP NAS across my network, and does not appear related to the video attributes or source at all.
So long as I never close it, I love this app, but this issue has given me the shits for a very long time and I see lots of other people having problems with the cast button and was very surprised my issue came down to a very simple repeatable scenario on both devices.
Would love it if someone could fix this so I don’t have to keep re-installing the app.
