Better Dropbox integration
Situation: An album with lots of single tracks (20 or more) is saved in the Dropbox. Listening to this album in the iOS app is made quite difficult for a number of reasons and UX issues:
-
No playlists or continous playlists. Clicking on the first track starts playback of this audiofile but jumps back into the dropbox folder menu instead of continuing with the next track.
-
To circumvent this, the files can be downloaded onto local storage. Download of a complete folder is not possible, although an arrow pointing down next to the folder hints that this should be possible. Instead each file has to be downloaded manually by clicking on the download arrow next to the file and confirming the download in a modal dialog.
A selection mode to batch-download multiple files might also be useful.
- for some files (maybe with longer filenames; i wasnt able to determine a pattern) starting a download is outright impossible, no matter how ofter i tried and how long i left my finger on the download symbol. for most files a download can be started but hitting the icon is quite difficult as it is very small (and you have to keep your finger on the icon for 2 seconds). it is more likely to touch the file itself which will start playback instead of download. stopping the playback through press on the 'Done' button returns me to the Dropbox root folder instead of returning to the folder you were in last which would be the expected action.
As all these issues are (in my opinion) quite closely related i decided to open one ticket instead of spamming the tracker with several requests. I hope this is alright, if they should be split up, let me know.
