60 second skip buttons dissapearing

it seems through doing of my own, the 60 second seek back and forth buttons that replace where the next and previous track usually are in VLC have DISSAPEARED. there is no setting for this. and for some reason they showed up one more time in the control center of my iPhone but not in the vlc app. when i then closed out of VLC it went back to the next and previous trck buttons with absolutely NO way to change it back. ive changed every setting andt nothing works. also i thought there used to be a setting where you coud adjust the amount of seconds you wanted it to have as the back and forth seek buttons. but that seems to be gone. i have a new iPhone and have the newest app installed. please help
