Directories with name starting with a dot are not shown, even if 'Show Hidden files' is enabled.

Hi.

I'm using VLC 3.0.0 from the Play Store (I can install any debug version, if that matters).

Even if I select the option to show hidden files, I can't browse the directories that start with a dot if try to see what is under, for example, the WhatsApp folder of my device. The regular (i.e., those whose name don't start with a period) folders are shown, while those that start with a period are not displayed.

I would like to see the contents of WhatsApp/Media/.Statuses, since it contains a few videos (I would, ideally, like to cast such videos).

I am using a Moto G4 Plus, running Android 7.0 patched up to 1st of December of 2017.

If any further information is needed, please let me know.
