No SMB password prompt

When browsing to a password-protected SMB share on local network, VLC for Android (v3.0.0, Revision 8e8fe4e3 VLC: ef4c265336 (2018-02-08) ARMv8) does not display a password prompt, and instead just says "This directory is empty.". Server is reachable (DLNA server on same machine responds just fine).
