Developer pop-up warning on folder open on Android O

On Android O, when open VLC and open any folder, get popup "Developer warning for package "org.videolan.org". Failed to post notification on channel "null." This is only visible on engineering/debug builds. Clearly something O doesn’t like about the way VLC is doing N recommendations – haven’t seen with other apps to best of my knowledge.
