Having to retype stream URL

If I make a mistake while typing a stream URL I get a bubble notification "address could not be played" and empty URL field

Description

Whenever I enter a stream URL, I have a text box where to type.

I type the URL, but let's say I made a mistake. I submit the URL, but VLC cannot play it. I get an error message that is too generic (ie does not help with diagnostics) in a bubble which dissapears way to quickly and the URL input field is emptied.

Expected behavior

I would expect the URL input field to retain the URL I entered so that I may correct my mistake and retry, without having to type the entire URL again

Actual behavior

URL input field is emptied

Steps to reproduce

1. open VLC, go to "...more"
2. type a stream URL in the input field. (for testing purposes make intentional mistake)
