Connecting to Android Auto occasionally causes media rescan

Description

Sometimes when I connect my phone to Android Auto (wired) and then open VLC it starts a media rescan automatically, even though I have the auto rescan option disabled.

This only happens sometimes, not always. I have not been able to find a pattern in when exactly it happens.

Expected behavior

VLC never starts automatic rescan.

Actual behavior

VLC sometimes rescans media after phone is connected to Android Auto.

Steps to reproduce

1. Disable media auto rescan option
2. Close VLC app (remove from recents)
3. Connect phone to Android Auto
4. Open VLC
5. Sometimes notice rescan has started
