[Feature Request] Automatically Reload Playback Queue on App Start
When the app is launched, instead of prompting the user with a toast to resume playback of the queue, it should automatically re-open that queue (but with playback still paused).
The default behavior is undesirable in 2 ways:
- I cannot edit the previous playback queue without first hitting 'play' in the toast or hitting the 'resume playback' button in the top bar. Either method automatically begins playback also, while I may have wanted to only edit but not play the queue.
- If I do not use either method to play the previous playback queue (i.e. there is no open playback queue), then any queue-related actions I take (e.g. inserting a song next or appending a song to the end of a queue) erase the old queue and create a new one. There have been many times that I have accidentally wiped a queue that I meant to add on to because of this.
Expected behavior
In my opinion, better behavior would be:
- If the audio/video play queue history option is checked, then the play queue will automatically re-open on app launch (but with playback paused)
- If the audio/video play queue history option is unchecked then the play queue will not re-open on launch, and the user will not be prompted to resume playback by the toast. The user may still choose to resume playback if they hit the 'resume playback' button in the top bar
You may want to add these options also:
- An option to switch between the default behavior and this new behavior
- An option to either resume or pause playback after the queue is opened
