No audio on Meta Quest 3

Description

I sideloaded VLC using F-Droid onto a Meta Quest 3. When I open VLC, everything seems to behave correctly. When I play a video (mp4), it shows correctly, however there is no audio. Likewise when I play an audio only (m4a, or mp3). For comparison, when I use an application like NewPipe, both video and audio work correctly.

Expected behavior

I start playing an audio or video file, and hear audio.

Actual behavior

Video plays, but there is no audio
