VLC uses an huge amount of user data upon first installing the app (163 MB)

Description

VLC uses an huge amount of user data upon first installing the app (163 MB). This is even bigger than the app itself. Why does VLC use so much userdata when the app is first installed shouldn't this be closer to 0 MB? Like maybe 5-10 MB? What could possibly be taking 163 MB of space on a person's phone when they first install VLC? Is there any way to make this smaller? A video player shouldn't be taking this much space when it is first installed. It feels like a lot of unnecessary bloat for no particular reason at all.

Expected behavior

I expect VLC not to use so much user data when I first install the app.

Actual behavior

VLC uses an huge amount of user data upon first installing the app (163 MB).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install the app for the first time or do a clean install
  2. Make sure you do the wizard and let VLC scan for media
  3. Look at VLC app info and see you already have a ridiculous 163MB of user data taken up for no reason.
