VLC resumes playing long audio (MP3) file at wrong position

Description

I'm listening to a long MP3 file (audiobook) that is 20 hours long. I've noticed that if I quit VLC and then later restart and click on the same file, VLC stars playing at the wrong position.

For example, if I exit VLC at 10h 08m, after restart it plays audio at 8h 52m, however, the time displayed next to the progress bar is displayed correctly. Basically, the time is right, but the audio is about one hour behind.

As a workaround, I can rewind to some other time stamp and fast forward back to the previous time.

BTW for long audios, the slider makes it hard to go forward/backwards to a specific time stamp as it's very susceptible to very little movement. Having a button that goes +/- 10 seconds or so would be very handy here. We can already do this with videos by double-tapping on the left/right side, but not for audios it seems.

Expected behavior

Expected playback to resume where I left off

Actual behavior

Continues playing at one hour behind
