Playlists emptied after re-read of micro-SD card (without ever removing card)

Description

When I opened VLC on my Fairphone 3+ running Android 11, all tracks from the micro-SD card seemed to have vanished. As VLC 'rediscovered' the micro-SD card, the tracks reappeared one by one, but my playlists remained empty. The micro-SD card has never been removed, rebooting did not fix the issue, and this is the first time this has happened. Of course I can remake the playlists, but it took hours to make them and the app shouldn't auto-delete tracks from a playlist just because it temporarily can't find them. It's not like these links take up much space. Just hide them from view and show them again when they become active again.

Expected behavior

Don't delete 'broken' links from playlists. At least wait until the 'discovering' of every file and folder is finished.

Actual behavior

Playlists have all been cleared out because VLC momentarily couldn't find the micro-SD card.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Store tracks on micro-SD card
  2. Create playlists with this track
  3. Somehow force VLC to temporarily lose connection to the micro-SD card
  4. The playlist is emptied
