Media format (AVI) that won't show thumbnails until played
Description
In a fresh VLC installation where Let VLC scan my device for media content has been unticked, thumbnails of media in this specific format (AVI) are not generated until the media is played first.

Steps to reproduce
- Install VLC from scratch (or clear its data and cache).
- Launch VLC.
- In the installation wizard, untick Let VLC scan my device for media content 1. Leave all other settings as default.
- In the Browse view, navigate to the directory containing the subject media.
- Observe that the thumbnail for that media is not generated.
⚠ - Play the media for a few seconds (for example 11 seconds).
- Exit VLC with the Force Stop action in Android.
- Launch VLC again.
- Browse to the directory again.
- Observe that the thumbnail is now generated.

This is a long standing issue. VLC-Android-3.5.3-armv8-20221119-0118.apk (current last nightly) shows the problem.

If Let VLC scan my device for media content is enabled, thumbnails do get generated at some point, without having to play the media first, apparently.
